The programme
City with mountain culture

Quaint little wooden huts, the old town with its medieval flair and the snow-covered Kronplatz in the background: one thing blends into another at the Bruneck Christmas market. The Christmas atmosphere, traditional craftsmanship and fragrant treats invite you to take a relaxed stroll between lovingly decorated stalls. Over a cup of mulled wine or an espresso, you will succumb to the special mix of Alpine Christmas tradition and Italian lifestyle. Just around the corner is the historic Stadtgasse with its pretty shops and cosy cafés. And a few metres higher up, skiers and winter sports enthusiasts can let off steam on the freshly groomed slopes of Kronplatz.

Regional specialities

A "Duftstadel" enchants the senses and at the culinary market stalls love goes through the stomach: with a hearty goulash soup in a bread bowl or temptingly sweet Strauben.

Green Event

Behind the aroma of spicy drinks, the colourful variety of regional products and the cheerful hustle and bustle of the Original South Tyrolean Christmas Markets lies a green concept.

For more than ten years, the Original South Tyrolean Christmas Markets have been guided by strict sustainability criteria: The events stand for an economical use of resources, environmentally friendly mobility, waste management and the use of regional products.

For example, traditional and innovative arts and crafts are offered in the ecological wooden stalls, regional and seasonal delicacies are served on reusable tableware at the gourmet and speciality stalls, while energy-efficient LED lighting curbs electricity consumption.
